Our global client is looking for a Field Testing Engineer to support their growing operations in the renewable energy sector. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting tests and performance trials on photovoltaic (PV) installations. Your work will ensure all systems are compliant with industry regulations, meet safety standards, and operate efficiently. This position requires regular travel to factory plants project sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct technical tests and trials in photovoltaic installations, such as Electroluminescence, Visual Inspection or IV curves.
- Inspect and assess equipment and processes to ensure quality, efficiency and safety.
- Prepare detailed technical reports on test and trial results.
- Ensure compliance with environmental and safety regulations on-site
- Coordinate with other departments for effective project execution.
- Implement process and technology improvements to optimize system performance.
- Research & Innovation: Stay up to date with industry trends, standards, and emerging testing technologies to ensure that solutions are cutting-edge and competitive.
- Continuous Improvement: Proactively identify opportunities to improve the services offered to the clients.
- Technical Presentations: Prepare technical solutions to clients, explaining design choices and addressing any technical concerns.
- Adhere to all relevant health and safety regulations, policies, procedures, guidelines and safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
- Travel within US: Approximately 70%-90%.
- This role can be based anywhere in the US.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy Engineering, or related technical field.
- Knowledge of PV modules purpose and technology, understanding of the purpose of TIC services.
- Expertise in conformity assessment scoping, specifically within the solar sector.
- Minimum 2 years of experience as an engineer in the Renewable Energy industry (preferred in PV or BESS).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with clients, diverse teams and other stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
