    Journeyman Electrician Solar Impact is looking for an experienced Journeyman Electrician to join our growing team! In this role, you will perform electrical work related to the maintenance, repair, and installation of solar systems for both residential and commercial clients. You should be able to perform inspections and conduct assessments of electrical systems, as well as read and interpret blueprints. You will need to have a strong familiarity with wiring, commonly used electrical tools and various electrical components. This position requires completion of an electrician apprenticeship program, a minimum of 3 years of previous electrical and construction experience, and Journeyman certification. Responsibilities: • Demonstrate Solar Impact Core Values • Follow Solar Impact policies and procedures consistently • Install electrical equipment following NEC guidelines • Employ a variety of tools and techniques for electrical system repair and maintenance • Utilize expertise to determine the best methods for new electrical system installations • Mentor and supervise apprentice electricians • Ensure adherence to safety requirements and OSHA regulations • Collaborate with a team to complete all aspects of solar installations, including job preparation, roof layout, racking installation, and system monitoring setup • Organize and maintain tools and components on installation vehicles • Engage in both online and in-person safety, electrical, and solar installation training • Maintain a safe and well-organized work environment • Communicate professionally and positively with customers • Evaluate completed projects to identify areas for enhancement • Work overtime, nights, and weekends as required to meet project deadlines • Travel out of town as needed Qualifications: • To qualify for this role you must hold a valid certification as a Journeyman Electrician. • Familiarity with the NEC is a mandatory requirement. • You should possess a minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in electrical work and construction. • Proficiency in interpreting electrical blueprints is essential for this position. • Ability to work safely at heights, including on roofs and ladders, while following to Solar Impact and OSHA safety protocols. • A valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and insurability for driving company vehicles are necessary. • Able to work both independently and as part of a team. • Must meet attendance requirements. • Successful completion of a background/MVR check and pre-employment physical is required. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. • Attention to detail. • Proficiency with computers, particularly MAC/iOS systems. • Previous experience in solar and/or roofing is preferred. • OSHA 10 certification is preferred • Experience as a crew lead is preferred Compensation: $27+ per hour DOE
