Journeyman Electrician Solar Impact is looking for a Journeyman Electrician to join our growing team! In this role, you will perform electrical work related to the maintenance, repair, and installation of solar systems for both residential and commercial clients. You should be able to perform inspections and conduct assessments of electrical systems, as well as read and interpret blueprints. You will need to have a strong familiarity with wiring, commonly used electrical tools and various electrical components. This position requires completion of an electrician apprenticeship program, a minimum of 3 years of previous electrical and construction experience, and Journeyman certification. Responsibilities: • Model Solar Impact Core Values • Follow Solar Impact policies and procedures • Install electrical equipment in accordance with the NEC • Use a variety of tools and techniques to repair, and maintain electrical systems • Use your knowledge and experience to determine the best way to install new electrical systems • Mentor and oversee the electrical work of apprentices • Follow all safety requirements and OSHA guidelines while you work • Work with a team of fellow installers assembling all components related to a solar installation. Including; job prep, roof layout, racking and attachment installation, and system monitoring installation • Organize tools and parts for installation of vehicle • Participate in online and in-person training related to safety, electrical, and solar installation • Maintain a clean and organized work environment • Communicate with customers in a professional and positive manner • Review projects post-install to determine areas for improvement • Overtime, night, and weekend availability is occasionally required to meet project needs • Out-of-town travel may be required (lodging and per diem provided) Qualifications: • Must be a certified Journeyman Electrician • Knowledge of the NEC is required • Minimum of 3 years of electrical and construction experience • Working knowledge of electrical blueprints • Must be able to work safely at great heights, on roofs, ladders, etc. and wear PPE in accordance with Solar Impact and OSHA requirements. • Must have a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and be insurable for driving company vehicles • Ability to work independently or in a team setting • Must be able to meet attendance requirements • Must be able to pass a background/MVR check and pre-employment physical • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • This role requires high attention to detail and accuracy • Proficiency with computers is required; MAC/iOS preferred • Prior solar and/or roofing experience is preferred • OSHA 10 certification preferred • Crew lead experience preferred Compensation: $27+ per hour DOE
