Position Overview

The Solar Sales Closer is responsible for converting qualified homeowner appointments into signed solar agreements. This role focuses on educating homeowners, presenting customized solar solutions, and guiding customers confidently through the decision-making process.

This position is ideal for experienced closers who excel at building trust, presenting value, and closing deals in a consultative sales environment.

Closers will work with qualified leads generated by appointment setters and marketing efforts , allowing them to focus on what they do best— closing high-quality solar projects.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Closing

• Conduct in-home or virtual solar consultations with qualified homeowners
• Present customized solar proposals and energy savings projections
• Educate homeowners on solar technology, incentives, and financing options
• Address objections and guide customers through the purchasing decision
• Close solar agreements and secure signed contracts

Customer Experience

• Deliver a professional, consultative sales experience built on transparency and trust
• Help homeowners clearly understand the financial and environmental benefits of solar
• Maintain strong communication with customers throughout the sales process

Collaboration

• Work closely with appointment setters, project managers, and installation teams
• Ensure accurate information is collected for smooth project execution
• Support Rooftop Power's mission of delivering a seamless solar transition

Ideal Candidate

Qualifications

Required

• Proven experience in sales closing roles (solar, home improvement, or in-home sales preferred)
• Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
• Ability to explain complex financial and technical information in a simple way
• Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and performance mindset
• Reliable transportation and ability to travel to appointments

Preferred

• Solar industry experience
• In-home sales experience (roofing, HVAC, windows, home improvement, etc.)
• Familiarity with solar financing options and incentives
• CRM and sales pipeline management experience
