    Job Description

    JOB DESCRIPTION

    This role will report directly to the Director of PLM and Engineering Applications and is part of the Applications team in the Information Technology organization which will be stood up from the ground as we transition into a standalone entity (parent company is based in South Korea).  The Windchill Architect is responsible for the overall technical aspects of the current deployment of Windchill R12 instances in Q3/Q4 of 2022, as well as the design, implementation and delivery of various initiatives in the PLM areas.

    HIGH LEVEL RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Oversee the technical aspect of the current deployment a new Windchill R12 instance in Q3/Q4 of 2022
    • Oversee the technical aspects of internal PLM specific projects from initiation to delivery
    • Work very closely with the Director of PLM and Engineering App to deliver in the PLM tower
    • Partner closely across the various areas within the PLM ecosystem to deliver on business needs
    • Coordinate work performed by PLM IT staff and internal customers/partners and review project requirements, milestones, perform feasibility tests and tracks needs/impact assessments.
    • Maintain, support, and upgrade existing applications and tools within the PLM ecosystem
    • Lead contractor resources from various IT vendors to ensure that services meet business needs
    • Maintains relationships with key business stakeholders and partners
    • Participate in meetings with business/functions and develop solutions to resolve end user and business pain-points
    • Rationalize evolving business needs to enable optimal and timely business process and solution support in a proactive and continuous manner
    • Participate in the development of the PLM strategic roadmap planning by identifying needed capabilities and projects that support business needs.
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Minimum 15 Years of experience with 10+ years as a Windchill PLM solution architect
    • Must have architected at least 2 PTC Windchill implementation of transformation projects.
    • Strong experience in leading technical team to deliver PLM transformation and implementation initiatives, including development architecture, implementation rollouts.
    • PLM Integration experience across ERP, MES, Planning, CAD and other engineering applications
    • Experience maintaining Windchill PLM, including Installations, Upgrade, Data migrations
    • Experience partnering with business stakeholders to acquire input on process/solutions/roadmap
    • Experience mapping out end to end PLM processes/solutions; translate to functional designs; and execute designs in form of configurations/developments which aligns with overall architecture
    • Experience collaborating with key business resources on requirements gathering, solution design, configuration, development, testing, user acceptance, implementation, and documentation.
    • Experience planning, preparing and executing testing plans including unit, functional, and user acceptance.
    • Experience leading a hybrid one-shore/near-shore/off-shore support model, including external support partners
    • Experience managing contractor resources in managed capacity/managed service mode
    • Experience managing Cloud hosted environment to track system changes and coordinate the deployment of these changes to production or test systems
    • Working knowledge with Windchill PDMLink, Change Management, MPMLink, ProjectLink, Parts Link Classifications, ETL Data Migration, Document and Part Management, Workflows, Lifecycle, BOM Product, CAD Integration, Query Builder, Visualization & Publishing, Info*Engine, Options & Variants Management, Windchill QMS
    • Working knowledge with Windchill Customizations:  Component Builders, MVC, Wizard Creation, Custom Actions, Validators & Filters, Data Utilities, Info*Engine, Webjects, Events, Pickers, Loaders and Form Processors
    • Working knowledge with Languages/scripts: Java, XML, JavaScript, Ajax, SQL, Struts, CSS
    • Working knowledge with Databases:  MS SQL, Oracle 12g, SQL Server, MySQL
    • Working knowledge with Operating Systems: Windows, Linux, Azure cloud services
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills

    PREFERRED:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field
    • PTC Certifications
