Job Description
This is an exciting time to join Solidigm Sales & Marketing team as a Field Application Engineer (FAE) and work with dynamic leaders and team members supporting one of the most advanced 3D NAND technology and SSD portfolios in the world. This role requires a self-driven individual who has the ability to do both big picture thinking and drive execution.
This is a commissioned sales position. You will be responsible for building and maintaining pre-sales relationships with key stakeholders at critical cloud customers in the San Francisco Bay Area. The Field Application Engineer (FAE) is the technical counterpart to the Account Manager (AM). The ideal candidate is passionate about influencing the adoption of next-gen storage solutions and platforms that align with our SSD product roadmap at the core of Solidigm's Datacentric growth strategy.
Responsibilities include, product presentations, driving strategic conversations, identifying and develop new opportunities, delivering product demonstrations and execute benchmarks to show product capabilities, examine customer problems and providing suggestions on optimal ways to use Solidigm's products, on-site visits to review designs, assist the customer throughout the development cycle to ensure successful completion of the product evaluation, debug assistance, and understand our competitor's strengths and weaknesses relative to the appropriate technical strategy.
Other responsibilities will be to communicate strategies to appropriate field and factory personnel to obtain required support and coordination. Provide timely feedback to the factory on product and strategy issues to ensure Solidigm is capable of responding to and/or anticipating changes needed to maintain success. Requires thorough knowledge of business practices and procedures in order to perform non repetitive, analytical work. Provide solutions to a wide range of difficult problems.
