    Job Description

    Responsibilities may be quite diverse of a nonexempt technical nature. U.S. experience and education requirements will vary significantly depending on the unique needs of the job. Job assignments are usually for the summer or for short periods during breaks from school.

    Assignments will be technical in nature and will vary significantly depending on the unique needs of the projects and experience/educational background of the individual. For example:

    • Automating scripts to update firmware on an SSD
    • Benchmark Solidigm SSDs using benchmarking tools/software applications
    • Work with AE and customer to resolve issues across a breadth of engineering disciplines
    • Optimize internal customer issue tracking tools
    • Print labels that meet customer specifications for SSDs
    • Perform specification gap analysis on Solidigm SSD vs customer requirements
    • Prepare SSDs for customer sampling

    Qualifications

    You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your school work/classes/research and/or relevant previous job and/or internship experiences.

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

    • The candidate must be pursuing a BS degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related field.
    • This U.S. position is open to U.S. Workers Only. A U.S. Worker is someone who is either a U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, U.S. Lawful Permanent Resident, or a person granted Refugee or Asylum status by the U.S. Government. Intel will not sponsor a foreign national for this position.

    6+ months of experience in the following areas:

    • Building a PC from assembly to installation of operating system (O/S)
    • PC architecture and the relationship between CPU/DRAM/storage
    • Debugging with some examples such as setting up a test environment to determine if compatibility issue is software or hardware related
    • Programming language: Python

     

    PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

    • SSD benchmarking process and experience with FIO, IOmeter, Vdbench, CrystalDiskMark, Sysmark, or PCMarkVantage
