A downtown Toronto-based startup that has built an all-in-one childcare app is currently looking to hire Full-stack Ruby on Rails Engineers for their growing team. This company helps childcare providers streamline operations, delight families and improve program quality. They're a certified B Corporation that truly provides a product that makes a difference. 

They have 3 main products: Tablet apps for teachers, desktop web applications for owners, and mobile apps for parents. They bring all three products together to empower preschool teachers to connect with parents and engage them in children’s learning and development, and help owners streamline running their business.

As a Full-stack Engineer, you will have the opportunity to make a big impact on a growing product with a wide and varied feature set. From feature enhancements to the core product, ground-up engineering on brand-new architecture, data scaling, and system performance on Android, iOS and web-based applications. You will be developing high-performance Ruby on Rails and front-end code for web-based applications.

Required Skills & Experience

• Ability to work across the entire web stack
• 5+ years experience with Ruby on Rails (or similar MVC setup)
• 5+ years experience with javascript / jQuery (Angular, Backbone, React experience a plus)
• Strong preference for proven experience with React
• Agile, competent programmer and problem solver
• Knowledgeable about the newest trends and best practices/plugins
• Ambition to work hard in order to make an impact
• Evidence of independence and self-starter attitude
• Propensity to always want to learn and improve
