A downtown Toronto-based company that builds learning apps and toys for children is currently looking to hire a Lead/Senior Software Developer with strong JavaScript experience. The right person should have at least 8 years of professional experience and have at least 3 years of experience working with Node, Typescript, and React.

This company has been operating for 7 years and has around 70 employees at the moment. They are a product-driven company and the ideal candidate will be passionate about building products that can make a difference. You will be leading projects that a primarily built with JavaScript.

Required Skills & Experience

• 8+ years building, deploying and maintaining web applications and services
• Extensive experience with Javascript and Node.js
• Experience with Typescript and React as well as other JavaScript frameworks
• Experience leading a team of developers
• Considerable experience with relational (PostgreSQL) non-relational (MongoDB) databases
• Able to break down complicated tasks into distinct solvable pieces, prioritize what is important, iterate quickly, and write clear and reusable code
• Very comfortable putting on the DevOps hat when needed and have past experience working with various AWS services, Ubuntu, and automation tools like Ansible
