A growing healthcare startup that has received their series A funding and has been rapidly growing during 2020/21 and is looking to add a Ruby on Rails Developer to their growing team. They currently have around a dozen people on the development team and they hire software developers across Canada and operate remotely.

In this position, you will be designing and implementing new services. You will also be writing tests and documenting the API calls and services as well as maintaining the core services forming the company's platform web API and the required dependencies.

Required Skills & Experience:

• At least 5+ years of experience with Ruby on Rails is required
  
• Experience with Python and/or Go lang is a plus
• At least 3+ years of experience with REST API development & event-driven programming (experience in high-performance API is a plus)
• Experience with Redis, PostgreSQL, AWS, Google Cloud, Elasticsearch, Rabbit MQ and Apache Kafka
• Bachelor/Master’s Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering
• Comfortable working daily with agile/sprint/virtual teams (via Slack, Zoom)
• Previous experience working in startups (in growth mode), within digital health/gaming is a plus
