We’re looking for a highly experienced CFO who is passionate about talent, fintech, a winning culture, and helping solopreneurs and microbusinesses thrive. In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to work as the CFO for one of the fastest-growing fintech companies, reporting to the CEO.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Play one of the most integral roles in executing the company’s growth plans
Overseethe company’s financial management function
Organize and utilize company data to help make sound strategic decisions, such as evaluating the pursuit of new lines of business, optimizing existing customer and referral/affiliate partner traffic, determining whether to invest in new revenue channels, and optimizing existing and new conversion funnels
Develop a financial reporting infrastructure to make smart decisions across all key facets of the business, such as funnel conversion, margins, and marketing expense payback
Assess the economics underlying relationships with customers as well as referral/affiliate and other partner traffic for growth and optimization opportunities
Establish a data-driven business case for all new initiatives
Oversee a GAAP-compliant, accrual-based accounting function that delivers timely and accurate recording of all business transactions
Manage the preparation of monthly financial statements and other reporting requirements
Maintain internal control and safeguards for receipt of revenue, expenses, receivables, and payables, and oversee the cash management functions
Build relationships with leaders across the organization
Act as a strategic advisor to business unit leaders
REQUIREMENTS:
Prior experience in fintech, SaaS, cloud, and software, with a particular focus on credit card issuing products and lending business models
Extensive experience with debt financing to support small-business credit products
Prior IPO experience (VP of Finance or similar role is acceptable)
Live and breath cohort data, LTV:CAC ratios, payback periods, and similar analyses
Extensive equity and debt fundraising experience
