Solo is looking for a talented Mobile App Developer to take our Solo application to the next level. You’ll be partnering with our Design, Backend, Product, and Technical Leadership Teams to develop cross-platform features to enhance the current mobile offering.

Solo is the financial super-app for small businesses. The free Solo mobile app allows entrepreneurs to pay, get paid, and access money in a space dedicated to their business. Founded in early 2022 by proven leaders in the FinTech space, Solo is fully funded. We aim to rapidly maximize our impact by making use of the network we’ve built in the large and growing category of small business owners.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Design, develop, and implement innovative and easy-to-use mobile apps

• Work with backend developers, designers, and the rest of the Engineering team to deliver well-architected and high-quality solutions

• Play an integral part in the architectural designs and decisions of the application

• Demonstrate and advocate for engineering standards 

• Mentor junior team members as needed

REQUIREMENTS:

• 4+ years of experience in mobile application development using native technologies (Kotlin or Swift). Dart/Flutter experience is a huge plus. 

• Extensive experience writing unit and integration tests

• Understanding of mobile app design guidelines, material design principles, and iOS Human Interface Guidelines, and awareness of their differences

• Working knowledge of the general mobile landscape, architectures, trends, and emerging technologies

• Solid understanding of the mobile development lifecycle for both iOS and Android. Scrum methodology is preferred.

• AWS exposure is a plus, but not required
