  • Responsibilities

    Solo is looking for a Head of Marketing, reporting to the CEO, to develop and implement Solo’s marketing strategy and growth plan. This person must have broad experience leading teams across marketing functions and developing effective campaigns across channels. This is an opportunity to join the leadership team of an early-stage startup with big ambitions. You’ll build and manage the marketing team, with the freedom to leverage external resources. Experience in fintech is highly desirable. 

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Own the marketing strategy and go-to-market plan across all marketing functions. Lead market research, branding, competitor analysis, product positioning, channel mix plan, media relations, social media, partnerships, referral programs

    • Build a clear brand image that extends across all marketing channels

    • Inspire your team to find creative ways to make the brand stand out in a fiercely competitive industry 

    • Cultivate media relationships to help promote public relations campaigns

    • Own the marketing growth targets, budgets, and expenses 

    • Develop and monitor KPIs for the team and individuals

    • Optimize conversion funnels across channels

    • Build strong internal relationships and collaborate with product, engineering, customer success, analytics, and finance teams to operationalize and grow Solo’s business units

    • Ensure marketing campaigns align with product delivery schedules

    • Build and nurture a high-performing team; leverage external agencies for specialized marketing functions

     

    REQUIREMENTS:

    • 8+ years leading different marketing functions and implementing successful go-to-market strategies 

    • Track record building and leading a marketing dream team at a high-performing, high-growth fintech company is highly desirable

    • Deep understanding of how to conduct marketing research, build brand awareness, solidify product positioning, and develop media plans, partnerships, and referral programs 

    • Experience with digital marketing and solid understanding of cutting-edge marketing technologies, platforms, integrations and trends

    • Comfortable interpreting large-scale analytics to make data-driven marketing decisions 

    • Crisp communication skills and an ability to influence outcomes across teams to drive company results

    • Creative vision with the talent to bring out the best in your team. 

    • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport quickly, both internally and externally

    • Solid executive presence and excellent presentation skills

    • Experience in fintech, SaaS, cloud, and software
