Mission
Solugen's mission is to decarbonize chemicals manufacturing. As a first step, Solugen is building a 10,000 tpy first commercial plant with the potential to offset up to 37,000 tpy of carbon dioxide equivalents. Reporting to the Director of Quality Assurance and Risk Management, this individual will be responsible for implementing and overseeing Solugen's Regulatory management system and ensure compliance with federal regulatory requirements applicable to Solugen. This individual must find, vet, and manage a host of area-specific vendors to keep Solugen compliant and safe. The Regulatory Specialist I primary responsibilities are performing regulatory activities, providing analysis and support of the company's compliance activities, and day-to-day administration of compliance issues. The role will operate both independently and as part of a team providing critical, solutions-focused support to our clients in interpreting and providing necessary information pursuant to product development and other product stewardship activities. They contribute to the development of regulatory recommendations and decisions and recognize potential regulatory issues, solutions and opportunities. They identify and interpret the statutes with regulations and then develop corrective or policy objectives.
This position will be in Houston, Texas.
Key Outcomes
Global HSE management system for Solugen (work processes, standard operating procedures) is implemented
Solugen is compliant with International, Federal and State requirements
Solugen product labels and SDS are compliant with FIFRA, DOT, TSCA, and OSHA GHS
Solugen operating procedures and process design in accordance with the highest levels of process safety
Support, maintain, and contribute as needed, to the Solugen's management systems
