Located in Houston, Texas, Solugen has created the world's first carbon negative specialty chemicals manufacturing facility: the BioforgeTM. The Technology Rotational Development Program's (TRDP) mission is to identify and cultivate future leaders for Solugen's Business Development, Product Development, or Commercial Team.

    We are looking for experienced Master's graduates who have a passion for decarbonizing the chemical industry. The program offers you the flexibility to create your own path through rotational projects aligned with your interests and the company's most critical need, allowing for a completely customized developmental experience.

    Upon completion of the program, qualified associates will have the opportunity to continue in a full-time role that aligns with their personal aspirations and passion for attacking climate change.

    • Work closely with the VP of BD, VP of Commercial, and VP of Product in special projects. Examples: market analysis of biopolymers, go-to-market strategy analysis in specific market, compiling list of potential customers, etc.
    • Follows development of competing products and industry trend

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Master's degree in chemistry or Chemical Engineering or Materials Science
    • 2-3 years of experience as an analyst at consulting firm such as McKinsey, BCG, Bain or equity research for investment banking; or 2-3 years of experience in a specialty chemical company
    • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
    • Advanced skills with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Visio, and Project
    • Persuasive presentation abilities
    • Demonstrated track record of effective people influence
    • Strong analytical thought process for analyzing product & market fit, market approaches, market wants and needs and measures of effectiveness
    • A curious, creative & self-starter individual who can thrive in a dynamic start-up environment.
    • Must be nimble and able to multi-task. Able to manage multiple projects.
    • Local candidate in Houston/Sugar Land is preferred. However, we will consider a Rockstar from other locations.
    • Critical thinker who can utilize their experience and quickly draw conclusions based on incomplete data. He/she is not afraid to propose and try new ideas and methods.
    • Comfortable working in multi-cultural and dynamic environment.
