    ABOUT SOLUGEN:

    Solugen, Inc. is a revolutionary technology company seeking to use biology to transform the chemicals industry. Solugen was founded in 2016 and is a post-Series B venture-backed startup company supported by renowned venture capital firms including Founders Fund, Fifty Years, Refractor, and Y Combinator. Located in Houston, Texas. Solugen is currently scaling up its manufacturing facility to use its enzymatic process on bio feedstocks to make core chemistry for water treatment, agriculture, and personal care. Solugen currently has 100+ full time employees.

    MISSION

    Reporting to the Plant Manager, this individual will be responsible for prioritizing the flow of operations in Solugen's reaction and blend manufacturing facilities. The candidate must be able to create, maintain and update the production schedule in response to customer sales orders, manufacturing data, production work orders. This role will interface heavily with purchasing, supply chain, sales, logistics, engineering, and operations on the status of orders. 

    KEY OUTCOMES

    • Develop and maintain master production schedules
    • Develops daily production schedule that meets delivery and inventory objectives
    • Reviews daily production progress to verify deadlines and ensure all schedules are being completed in a timely manner. Inform sales, CSRs as to current or potential conflicts.
    • Anticipate and communicate with management regarding any deviation to the agreed upon future daily schedule
    • Issue raw materials and place finished goods into inventory in NetSuite to match actual production order records in a timely manner
    • Understand Solugen's manufacturing costing model and minimize causes of potential variances
    • Minimize the accumulation of slow moving/dead stock inventory and generation of waste streams
    • Assist with inventory cycle counts and inventory variance resolution
    • Monitor and forecast inventory levels in the warehouse to ensure necessary product is available. Issue purchase requisitions to Procurement to replenish stock as required.
    • Receipt goods and ship goods in NetSuite with required documentation in a timely manner.
    • Preparation of production scheduling forecasts to support S&OP
    • Facilitate scheduling optimization by recommending improvements to production planning, material flow
    • Work to optimize scheduling to achieve efficiency and satisfy customer orders
    • Assist plant manager, operations manager and production engineer with plant projects

    QUALIFICATIONS

    Bachelor's degree preferred. Experience 2 years Manufacturing, 1 year Production Planning
