Located in Houston, Texas, Solugen has recently started-up a first-of-its-kind carbon-negative manufacturing facility - The BioforgeTM - that uses a novel chemoenzymatic technology to manufacture bio-based chemistries for a wide range of applications including water treatment, agriculture, personal care, and other applications. Solugen currently has 175+ full time employees.

    MISSION

    Solugen's mission is to decarbonize chemicals manufacturing. As a first step, Solugen is building a 10,000 tpy first commercial plant with the potential to offset up to 37,000 tpy of carbon dioxide equivalents. This role will directly support Solugen's mission by safeguarding Solugen's assets and increasing efficiencies. We are looking for a Warehouse Worker to participate in our warehouse operations and activities. The Warehouse Worker will be responsible for daily tasks such as stocking shelves, receiving incoming orders, processing internal order requests and counting inventory. The Warehouse Worker interacts and collaborates with other warehouse staff on a daily basis and reports to the Warehouse Manager.

    KEY OUTCOMES

    • Receive and process warehouse stock products (pick, unload, label, store)
    • Monitor production and product availability/location
    • Store product in designated areas and adjusts storage areas according to production
    • Verify product inventory reports by comparing warehouse logs and reports
    • May also handle Warehouse Time and Labor functions
    • Maintain workflow of Inventory with sign out sheet
    • Perform inventory controls and keep quality standards high for audits
    • Keep a clean and safe working environment and optimize space utilization
    • Complete daily logs into inventory system
    • Report any discrepancies to supervisor
    • Communicate and cooperate with supervisors and coworkers
    • Operate warehouse vehicles and equipment
    • Follow quality service standards and comply with procedures, rules and regulations
    • Other duties maybe assigned

    KEY COMPETENCIES

    JOB SPECIFIC

    • Proven working experience as a Warehouse Worker
    • Proficiency in inventory software, databases and systems
    • Familiarity with modern warehousing practices and methods
    • Good organizational and time management skills
    • Ability to lift heavy objects up to 50 lbs
    • Current forklift license (preferred)
    • Able to work in a team environment and have a great work ethic
    • Dependable

    QUALIFICATIONS

    High School Degree and minimum 3 years full-time experience working as a Warehouse Worker
