    Job Description

    UNSTRUCTURED DATA ENGINEER 100% REMOTE; DIRECT HIRE JOB ID 2022-6718

    Solugenix is looking for an UNSTRUCTURED DATA ENGINEER. This is a 100% remote, direct hire opportunity.

    Must be fluent in Python, SQL, SSIS, and REST API’s

    In this role, you will be responsible for processing structured and unstructured data, validating data quality, and developing and supporting data products such as data reporting/analytics, and ML and AI solutions.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • The experienced engineer should have 5 or more years of technical experience with 3-5 years of experience in the processing of unstructured data such as service and application logs, comments, flat files, and structured data from SQL databases, XML, and JSON files.
    • Fluency in Python, SQL, SSIS in the development of ETL/ELT, Azure Data Bricks, and integration with REST APIs.
    • Experience with NoSQL databases like MongoDB, Cosmos Db.
    • Strong problem solving and analytical and skills & comfortable working in a team setting.
    • Experienced in algorithm development and design patterns.
    • Strategic thinking and planning capabilities.
    • Organized and detail oriented.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication.
    • Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences.
    • Experience with Azure Synapse Analytics (ASA) is a plus.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Thorough understanding of the requirements and ensure that work product aligns with customer requirements.
    • Works within and/or recommends usage development guidelines, standards, methodologies, and naming conventions.
    • Builds processes to ingest, process, and store unstructured data.
    • Works with the data team on identifying project risks, designing mitigation plans, develops estimates.
    • Contributes to the design, development of data pipelines, and feature engineering of data solutions.
    • Developing complex queries, data modeling, and extract, transform, and load (ETL) processes in SQL/SSIS and Python.
    • Developing solutions using platforms like Azure Databricks and Azure Synapse
