The Role You’ll Play
As the Solution Architect focused on Payment Technology, you will bridge the gap between business objectives and technical execution, delivering scalable and sustainable solutions in payment services. Your leadership will influence critical projects across e-commerce, POS, and mobile channels.
Lead end-to-end technical solutions from concept to implementation
Collaborate with business stakeholders to define project scopes and detailed technical requirements
Develop architectural designs highlighting key systems and integrations
Create detailed technical designs aligned with business needs
Define architectural patterns and ensure adherence to scalability and sustainability standards
Provide technical direction and oversight to engineering teams
Conduct code and design reviews
Evaluate and recommend emerging technologies and third-party solutions
Maintain an application roadmap aligned with future business and technology goals
Identify and mitigate technical risks during project execution
Lead meetings with stakeholders, leadership, and vendors to ensure alignment and drive decisions
Background Profile:
The ideal candidate is a hands-on architect with strong experience in payment technology systems across retail channels. You should possess the ability to drive technical solutions while working closely with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field
3+ years in software development, solution architecture, or technical leadership roles
Proven experience designing enterprise-level payment solutions (e.g., payment gateways, banking integrations, PayPal, GooglePay, ApplePay)
Experience across multiple sales channels: brick-and-mortar POS, e-commerce, and mobile
Strong understanding of APIs, integration patterns, and data modeling
Expertise in architecture patterns like microservices, SOA, and serverless
Familiarity with EA tools and C4 modeling preferred
Proficient in AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud environments (preferred)
Skilled in visual design tools (Visio, Lucidchart)
Background in retail systems and financial reconciliation systems preferred
Strong leadership, communication, and presentation skills
Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall methodology understanding
Preferred
Experience with AR, Accounting, or Financial Systems
Cloud certifications (AWS Certified Solutions Architect, etc.)
Experience mentoring and leading cross-functional teams
