    Job Title: Solution Engineer – SCADA Systems (Contract)
    Location: Raleigh, NC - Onsite
    Pay Rate: $78–$80/hour
    Type: Contract to hire (W2)

    Position Summary

    A-Line Staffing is looking for a Solution Engineer to join a leading engineering team in Raleigh, NC. The Solution Engineer will have expertise in SCADA systems and HVDC Control & Protection to support project engineering efforts. This is a highly technical role focused on HMI/SCADA design, integration, and commissioning within energy infrastructure projects.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Provide project engineering support for SCADA systems within the HVDC Control & Protection department

    • Develop and maintain technical specifications, manuals, and operator documentation

    • Collaborate with internal teams, suppliers, and clients to define features, functionality, and graphical system representation

    • Engineer HMI software projects and maintain signal databases, including control logic and system parameters

    • Lead integration and testing of HMI and SCADA communication gateways in test environments

    • Conduct system monitoring engineering and data processing

    • Provide technical support during supplier/customer testing and on-site commissioning

    • Support system delivery efforts both domestically and internationally

    Required Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Automation Engineering

    • Multiple years of experience with HMI system engineering and remote-control interfaces

    • Proficiency with communication protocols including IEC 61850, IEC 101/104, DNP3, OPC-UA

    • Experience with protocol converters, data concentrators, and SCADA gateways

    • Understanding of data processing and communication structures

    • Programming knowledge (C, C++, Java, or C#), preferably with object-oriented development

    • Strong project execution, teamwork, and customer communication skills

    • Fluent English proficiency

    • Willingness to travel domestically and abroad for system delivery and support
