    • Provide hands-on technical support for data-intensive pricing solutions, an enterprise energy-trading and risk-management platform, associated databases, scheduled processes, integrations, reports, and operational tools.
    • Diagnose application, database, interface, job, configuration, and data-processing failures.
    • Restore service safely and promptly during production incidents.
    • Provide after-hours support when mission-critical Gas processes or peak operating periods require it.
    • Escalate provider or infrastructure issues with complete technical evidence and remain accountable through resolution.
    • Develop, test, and deploy stored-procedure, database, integration, application, reporting, and automation changes.
    • Implement validation that identifies missing or incomplete data instead of allowing hidden errors or unsupported default values to continue through pricing or risk processes.
    • Improve application logging, monitoring, alerting, error handling, recoverability, and operational transparency.
    • Reduce manual work, rework, recurring defects, and dependence on individual subject-matter experts.
    • Contribute to application upgrades, modernization, technical-debt reduction, and lifecycle planning.
    • Learn the business processes supported by the applications, including forecasting, position reporting, matrix pricing, Transport deal processing, market-data intake, trading, settlement, billing, and reporting.
    • Trace data from source systems through databases, calculations, interfaces, reports, and downstream consumers.
    • Work directly with business SMEs to reproduce issues, validate results, test corrections, and understand operational impacts.
    • Recognize when a technical change could affect pricing accuracy, risk positions, settlements, customer outcomes, compliance, or financial reporting.
    • Create and maintain technical documentation, support runbooks, recovery procedures, code and database references, and troubleshooting guides.
    • Cross-train with other application-support engineers to establish primary and backup coverage.
    • Participate in knowledge-transfer sessions with current SMEs, providers, and support teams.
    • Follow established development, testing, release, change-management, access-control, and production-validation procedures.
    • Share technical findings and reusable knowledge with the broader Operations Technology team.
    • Monitor and support production applications, databases, scheduled jobs, integrations, reports, and supporting services.
    • Investigate incidents, determine impact, restore service, and document technical findings.
    • Perform root-cause analysis and implement durable corrections for recurring problems.
    • Develop, test, review, and deploy stored procedures, queries, application components, integrations, reports, and automation.
    • Implement application and data controls that detect missing, incomplete, invalid, or inconsistent information.
    • Improve logging, monitoring, alerting, error handling, recoverability, and support visibility.
    • Support application releases, environment promotions, patches, upgrades, rollback planning, and post-deployment validation.
    • Work with business SMEs to understand requirements, reproduce problems, validate calculations, and complete user-acceptance support.
    • Reconcile data among source systems, application databases, operational reports, and downstream consumers.
    • Maintain source control and comply with development, testing, security, audit, and change-management standards.
    • Develop and maintain runbooks, technical documentation, interface records, job inventories, recovery procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
    • Coordinate technical issues with packaged-software providers, custom-development partners, market-data services, and SaaS platforms as assigned.
    • Cross-train with other team members and provide backup coverage for critical applications and processes.
    • Support Choice and adjacent retail-energy applications when needed for integration troubleshooting, continuity, or transition activities.
    • Provide after-hours support during high-severity incidents and business-critical operating periods when required.

    • Experience with at least one applicable development or scripting technology, preferably C#/.NET or Java.
    • Experience troubleshooting APIs, file transfers, or other system integrations.
    • Experience with source control, structured testing, release procedures, change management, and rollback.
    • Demonstrated root-cause analysis, technical documentation, and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to provide after-hours production support when business-critical needs require it.
