Solutions Architect

The Solutions Architect is responsible for the design, development, implementation, and ongoing oversight of multiple applications across diverse platforms within the organization. This role provides technical leadership and strategic guidance to peers and development teams, helping to establish and refine technical standards while actively participating in — and often leading — code and design reviews.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain a deep understanding of departmental and business unit strategic goals to ensure alignment of technical solutions.

• Provide architectural consulting and guidance to systems analysts, engineers, and other architects.

• Stay current on the company’s IT architecture, infrastructure, and technology stack.

• Develop, document, communicate, and enforce technology standards and best practices.

• Research and evaluate emerging technologies to recommend cost-effective and scalable infrastructure enhancements.

• Lead the design, development, and implementation of integrated end-to-end system solutions.

• Create and execute test plans to validate system performance and recommend improvements.

• Mentor and support junior team members in technical and architectural best practices.

• Facilitate and participate in code and design review sessions.

• Remain informed of advancements in web and Windows application development, data delivery, and relational database technologies.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Advanced knowledge of information processing principles and IT best practices.

• Strong technical expertise in network, PC, and operating systems, including current Microsoft Windows Server and Desktop platforms.

• Proficiency in programming languages relevant to the business unit.

• Deep understanding of data privacy regulations and compliance standards.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to think strategically.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas in a user-friendly manner.

• Skilled at prioritizing and managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.

• Collaborative mindset with a team-first approach.

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience.

• 5+ years of experience in software development.

• 5+ years of experience gathering and analyzing business requirements.

• 5+ years designing and developing Windows and/or web-based applications.

• Proficient with development tools such as Visual Studio .NET.

• 5+ years of hands-on experience with relational databases, preferably Microsoft SQL Server.
