    Position Overview

    Our client, a global leader in providing innovative and energy-efficient solutions, is seeking a highly experienced Solutions New Business Development Manager. This critical role will focus on identifying, developing, and leading new business opportunities around complex, solution-based offerings rather than standard products.     Key Responsibilities

    • Market & Opportunity Identification: Research and analyze market trends, industry developments, and customer needs to identify and target new markets, segments, and verticals.
    • Prospecting & Lead Generation: Generate new leads through outbound efforts, qualify leads using established frameworks, and manage prospect data in CRM systems.
    • Client Engagement & Needs Discovery: Conduct deep discovery sessions to understand prospective clients' business challenges, diagnose problems, and align them with appropriate solution offerings.
    • Solution Development & Proposal Management: Collaborate with cross-functional internal teams (e.g., pre-sales, product, engineering) to craft tailored, value-driven solutions, develop customized proposals, and respond to RFPs/RFIs.
    • Sales Cycle Management: Manage the end-to-end sales process from first contact to contract signature, maintaining an organized sales pipeline with accurate forecasting.
    • Negotiation & Deal Closure: Lead contract negotiations, addressing client objections and procurement requirements to close deals that meet or exceed sales targets.
    • Internal Collaboration: Work closely with delivery and account management teams for smooth post-sale handover and share client insights to help improve offerings and inform product development.
    • Continuous Improvement: Track performance metrics, report pipeline status and market intelligence, and stay current on industry trends and competitor activities.

    Qualifications

    • Educational Background:
      • Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, Sales, Engineering, IT, or a related field (required).
      • MBA or relevant Master's degree (preferred).
    • Professional Experience:
      • 10+ years of proven experience in B2B sales, business development, or solutions selling, with a track record of winning new, complex, high-value, or consultative solutions business.
      • Experience with long sales cycles and multi-stakeholder selling.
      • Strong background in developing proposals, pricing strategies, and closing contracts.
      • Experience in industries such as:
        • Industrial and Automation Technologies
        • Professional Services / Consulting
        • Engineering / Industrial Solutions
        • Power Electronics / Energy Management
        • Infrastructure Solutions
    • Core Skills & Expertise:
      • Sales & Business Development: Expert in solution selling, value-based selling, or consultative sales; skilled in lead generation, pipeline building, strategic account targeting, negotiation, and closing with C-suite buyers.
      • Strategic Thinking & Market Knowledge: Ability to identify emerging opportunities, understand customer business models and pain points, and strong competitive intelligence.
      • Communication & Interpersonal Skills: Executive presence with excellent verbal and written communication, strong presentation skills, and ability to build trust quickly.
      • Technology & Tools Proficiency: Proficient with CRM systems, familiar with digital sales enablement tools, and competent with MS Office/Google Workspace.
