Solve IT Strategies is looking for a Risk Analyst. This role is located at San Francisco, CA.

The Main Responsibilities of a person are:

Identify, investigate and mitigate unauthorized Coinbase Card transaction activity.

• Implement rules & logic targeting bad actors and high-risk behavior associated with Coinbase Card.
• Measure card performance from a risk perspective, develop core fraud and abuse metrics, and create dashboards to track and understand them.
• Proactively identify and close gaps in our monitoring.
• Work with internal stakeholders in Product, Data Science and Engineering to develop and drive forward custom risk management strategies and techniques.
• Use data to make risk decisions impacting large segments of our customer population; effectively measure and assess associated tradeoffs using quantitative analysis.
• Synthesize data learnings into compelling stories and communicate them to Payments Risk leadership.

Skills:

• 4+ years relevant experience
• 2+ years fighting internet-based risk, abuse, or fraud in an e-commerce
• 2+ or financial services environment years of experience in data
• 2+ analysis, working with databases, and querying (e.g., SQL, MySQL,
• Strong knowledge of Visa network core rules pertaining to transaction processing and issuer-side dispute resolution Knowledge of common fraud typologies pertaining to card-based payments BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience A passion for fighting fraud and abuse Experience in data analyses using SQL Experience with data visualization and storytelling using Looker, Tableau or other business intelligence platforms Be able to independently create plans for analytics projects and build collaboration within the team The curiosity to self-drive investigations, identify patterns, and find the root cause Demonstrate our core cultural values: clear communication, positive energy, continuous learning, and efficient execution

Nice to haves:

• Understanding of statistical concepts and experience in applying them.
