Léon 1909 is a refined French & Italian countryside restaurant known for exceptional cuisine, a curated wine program, and elevated guest experiences in an intimate, polished setting.

We’re seeking an experienced Sommelier / Wine Steward who excels in fine dining and wine service, delivering graceful, guest-focused hospitality with warmth and expertise.

What We Offer

• $1,300 – $2,000 per week ($68K – $100K annually)

• Base pay $17/hr + tips | Paid weekly (tips included in paycheck)

Your Role

• Curate and maintain our wine list and beverage program

• Offer expert wine pairings and elevated guest experiences

• Manage inventory and cellar operations

• Lead staff training and support a refined service team

• Uphold Michelin-level hospitality standards with warmth and precision

About You

• Fine-dining or Michelin-star restaurant experience required

• Expertise in wine pairings and cellar management

• Strong leadership, communication & guest-relations skills

• Polished, professional, and poised under pressure

• Positive, curious, and engaging demeanor

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years as Sommelier, Wine Steward, or Upscale Bar Professional

• Fluent in English (Italian or French helpful)

• Stable work history with strong references

• Employment eligibility verification required

• Reliable transportation to and from Shelter Island / Hamptons
