Job Description
The Junior Financial Analyst is a full-time, on-site role reporting to the group Head of Finance in the UK.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
· Ensures that payroll expense and accruals are accurately recorded
· Posts purchase invoices and matches to purchase orders
· Reviews and approves small value purchases
· Prepares payable runs via ACH/Wire for second approvals
· Reviews the bank statement and posts to ensure all transactions are valid and present in the financial records, receivables are properly posted to customer accounts and payment to vendors/suppliers are done in an accurate and timely manner
· Runs credit checks and provides the business with suggested credit limits / policy
· Ensures expense claims comply with company policy, are accurate on credit card statements and posted to the financial records
· Prepares monthly customer analysis and other month-end reports to a strict deadline
· Validates inventory value balances
· Tracks and reconciles activity within balance sheet accounts to the general ledger
· Ensures that expenses are coded to the appropriate account in the proper period
· Support for year-end audits and ISO Audit
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
· Knowledge of finance & accounting, payroll administration, taxation, and related principles and practices
· A self-starter with the ability to work to tight deadlines in a fast paced and growing enterprise
· Good MS Office skills (particularly Excel, PowerPoint & Word) and familiarity with an accounting system (eg Navision)
· Ability to understand, speak, read, and write in English
· 3+ years of experience as an accounting generalist or similar role OR a combination of education and experience that illustrates a proven track record in this field
· You must have the right to work in the United States and be able to commute to our office in San Antonio, Texas on a daily basis.
