    POSITION SUMMARY:

    The Inventory Control Lead provides inventory process oversight and advanced administrative support, along with problem solving resolution for OneSource Distribution Center facilities; with the primary goal of ensuring adequate inventory levels are maintained to maximize customer satisfaction.  This position is also expected to assist with daily Distribution Center activities as needed to ensure the team is functioning well together.

     

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: (Include the following; other duties may be assigned)

    • Act as a lead for the Inventory team
    • Train employees on inventory control polices and processes
    • Perform annual physical inventories at Non-RF branches
    • Oversee daily cycle counts and recounts
    • Review daily backorder report and investigate backorder related inventory discrepancies
    • Review and resolve inventory related U.E.T.’s (Unquality Event Tracker)
    • Investigate all inventory adjustments and determine the cause of any inaccuracies
    • Provide analysis to management on inventory discrepancies
    • Participate in all inventory audits (internal and external)
    • Investigate and reply to all inventory related job queues

    Required Skills

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: 

    • Electrical, Industrial and/or Distribution experience preferred but not required
    • High School diploma or GED
    • 1 - 3 years' of related experience and/or training; or
    • Equivalent combination of education and experience

    REQUIREMENTS:

    • Must be a self-starter with the ability to work independently and with little supervision
    • Must demonstrate good time management skills
    • Must possess strong planning, organizational and execution skills
    • Must have the ability to set goals and meet deadlines
    • Must possess excellent customer service skills
    • Must demonstrate ownership of assigned responsibilities and ability to get the job done correctly and in a timely manner
    • Must possess a proactive and positive team approach to problem resolution
    • Must have the ability to establish strong working relationships with co-workers and management
    • Must have the ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form

    WORKING CONDITIONS AND ENVIRONMENT

    • Long and varied hours required occasionally
    • Ability to work mandatory physical inventory
    • Ability to work in extreme hot or cold environment
    • Ability to work in dusty conditions

    TRAVEL:

    • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, talk and hear. The employee frequently is required to sit, stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb or balance.
