    BRANCH OPERATIONS MANAGER

     

    SUMMARY:

    This position directs, coordinates, and delegates the local functions such as inside sales, counter sales, warehouse, delivery and administrative activities of an individual branch either directly or through subordinate supervisors in order to achieve branch and company goals.   As a Branch Operations manager, you would be responsible for obtaining optimum efficiency, economy of operations, and maximization of profits.

     

    The ideal candidate will be able to properly oversee the branch operations and ensure it is running efficiently.  This will be done by building relationships with customers, vendors and our internal team.

     

    WHAT YOU’LL DO:

    • Manage branch sales performance, business plans, customer service levels, and status of branch projects in coordination with District Operations Mgr. & District Sales Mgr.
    • Manage branch warehouse operations
    • Address, mediate, and resolve customer concerns, complaints, and issues
    • Interact regularly with customers
    • Works with Product Managers to manage pricing matrix and sales team to manage contracts including customer specific matrices and Special Pricing Agreements (SPAs)
    • Coordinate counter maintenance/merchandising/promotional activity with merchandising manager
    • Conduct performance evaluations and address branch personnel issues
    • Coordinate & complete annual inventory
    • Negotiate pricing and issues with vendors in conjunction with local & company purchasing
    • Prepare branch budgets and forecasts
    • Develop business plans for branch operations
    • Develop capital expenditure plan
    • Ensures all branch activities are prioritized and accomplished in a timely manner according to company policy and procedure
    • Provides support on quotations or price estimates, terms and delivery for standard, complex or non-standard products
    • Prepares reports such as P&L

    WHAT YOU NEED:

    • 5-7 years of sales and operational experience
    • 4+ years management/leadership experience
    • Proficient with MS Office Suite, particularly comfortable working in MS Excel and MS Outlook
    • Bachelor’s Degree (B. A.) or equivalent from four-year college
    • Must be able to work in a team environment
    • Ability to adapt to a fast pace changing environment and to approach challenges with creativity and resourcefulness
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
    • Initiative and self-direction; can apply knowledge and make sound judgment to effectively resolve issues
    • Able to work with a sense of urgency
