SENIOR SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR  

We are currently seeking an experienced Linux and AWS System Administrator to join our team as the lead systems engineer. The candidate will be responsible for designing, deploying, modifying and supporting our Linux-based computer systems and cloud services as a key part of a globally diverse team. Administration of Atlassian server and cloud-based services (Jira, Confluence and Bitbucket) would be a strong advantage. Splunk administration experience is a plus.

Resourcefulness is a necessary skill in this role. The candidate will be able to diagnose and resolve problems quickly and efficiently working within the team or individually as required. Good communication skills are required for interaction with internal teams and clients as necessary.

This position is ideally based at the corporate office in Allen, TX. but remote working from US can be supported with occasional travel to office locations required.

 RESPONSIBILITIES

• Linux Systems (SuSE, Red Hat, CentOS) physical and virtual instances:

• Proof of concept solutions.

• Instance/system deployment.

• Incident troubleshooting and documentation.

• Backup and restore (Veeam)

• Databases (MySQL, MariaDB, PostgreSQL).

• Amazon Web Services, support of ever expanding services on AWS including but not limited to:

• EC2.

• RDS.

• Connect.

• Workspaces.

• Lambda.

• S3.

• Cloud Formation.

• Linux Security, to include but not limited to:

• SELINUX.

• CIS Hardening.

• Intrusion detection.

• PCI-DSS Compliance.

• OS Patching.

• Automation

• Ansible

• QuickBuild

• Atlassian

• Server and cloud implementations for Jira, Confluence and Bitbucket administration.

• Deployment of new services and functions.

• Migration of data between systems.

• Participation in the team on-call rotation.

  QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, professional training, or work experience, Required.
• 5+ years’ system administration experience with Linux, ideally SLES, RHEL & CentOS, Required.
• Knowledge of network protocols and associated tools: DNS, TCP/IP, SMTP, Ping, tcpdump, Wireshark etc. Required.
• Able to clear federal Level I background check, Required
