This position helps both individual branches and total company improve operational productivity, efficiency, and manage costs through the adoption and utilization of technology and managed programs. Leverage technical and analytical expertise to diagnose inefficiencies. Develop and communicate operational tactics and strategies for long-term solutions in partnership with mid- and high-level leadership.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide oversight in the use of fleet tracking software, warehouse productivity software, and associated or similar tools.
• Monitor and analyze various logistics expenses to drive cost and service improvement.
• Create and maintain standards lists for fleet, material handling equipment, and warehouse supplies.
• Manage various projects researching and analyzing productivity metrics in order to identify common issues and trends.
• Analyze productivity metrics and assist local operations with driving productivity improvement.
• Provide oversight in warehouse productivity including pick-paths, routing, RF picking, receiving, and put-away.
• Seek out and implement best practices and new technologies to increase productivity and efficiency.
• Partner with Senior Leadership to develop and implement sustainability goals and objectives.
• Guide sustainability efforts related to warehouse operations, fleet, and logistics.
• Testing technical or software modifications to develop standard operating procedures for warehouse teams.
• Establish, communicate, and train on best warehouse practices, including safety, warehouse layout and design, and material management.
• Collaborate with business units and parent company to study network and logistics layout and improvements.
• Lead warehouse product slotting analysis and implementation
• Visit and catalog warehouse operations. Use tools such as CAD/Sharepoint to create a visual map of warehouse space, design, and utilizations.
• Function as team leader for the design, setup, and initial opening of new or remodeled warehouses.
• Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year College or university; or three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
