    ACCOUNT MANAGER

     

    SUMMARY:

    As an account manager, you will manage your accounts and oversee all activities related to your customers. 

     

    Our ideal candidate is customer focused and enjoys interacting with industrial customers on a regular basis to provide solutions to their needs while building relationships.  As well as being very detailed focus.  Our goal is to provide outstanding service to our customer by providing accurate quotes, orders and general information. 

     

    WHAT YOU’LL DO:

    • Build and maintain relationships with customers to better understand their needs
    • Interact with engineers and technical staff at customer’s location
    • Submit bids and get approvals
    • Processes orders from customers in sales, using all required company policies, procedures and systems
    • Call, mail or deliver orders for processing, shipment and delivery of merchandise in a timely manner
    • Provides oral and written quotations or estimates of prices, terms, delivery, credit terms and prepare sales contracts for orders obtained
    • Estimates date of delivery to customer, based on knowledge of own firm's production and delivery schedules
    • Investigates and resolves customer problems with deliveries
    • Develops relationships with key vendors in assigned markets
    • Promotes and features key vendor products through joint sales calls and promotions

     

    WHAT YOU NEED:

    • Previous outside sales experience required
    • Industry experience is strongly preferred with specific experience calling on industrial customers
    • General knowledge of industrial automation and control systems desired, Rockwell Solutions highly desired
    • Technical background and ability to talk with engineers to make product recommendations and offer solutions
    • Presentation skills to include MS software: Word, Excel and PP
    • Strategic thinker
    • High energy individual with the ability to work with a wide range of personalities
    • Ability to adapt to a fast pace changing environment and to approach challenges with creativity and resourcefulness
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
    • Initiative and self-direction; can apply knowledge and make sound judgment to effectively resolve issues
