    POSITION SUMMARY:

     

    Vallen’s Storeroom Coordinator is an individual contributor positioned within an onsite (or other form of) customer storeroom and is responsible for performing and coordinating daily activities for sales, customer service, equipment rentals, and inventory management within their assigned store. They are responsible for maintaining a professional, clean and organized work environment.

     

    ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

     

    • Accurately sorts, labels, moves and displays items; places material or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, style, or product codes.
    • Sells and services customers at the sales counter, providing, prices, product, warranty and delivery information.
    • Enters data into a database or other computerized system to maintain up-to-date stock records; documents and maintains accurate records for sold and returned items.
    • Picks orders from the warehouse in servicing and selling to counter customers.
    • Maintains quotation log and files using established procedures.
    • Maintains rental file and rental status information, ensures that rental products are properly maintained.
    • Establishes good customer/supplier relations to ensure repeat business.
    • Participates in promotional activities, and setting up store displays for the merchandising of safety equipment.
    • Assists with the annual inventory process to ensure cost and inventory control; performs cycle counts and accurately reports findings.
    • Attends and participates in product training sessions to enhance product knowledge.
    • Attends and works trade shows as requested.

     

     JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

    • High school diploma or equivalent coupled with 2 years of relevant experience and/or training.
    • Relevant experience loading, unloading, picking, packing or moving goods in a warehouse environment; forklift / cherry picker experience preferred.
    • Demonstrated ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, work orders, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
    • Basic computer knowledge and proficiency in MS-Office products including Excel, Word and Outlook. Willingness to learn new software.
    • Strong communication and customer service skills.
    • Ability to work in a team environment and be self-motivated to accomplish assigned tasks and goals.
    • Demonstration of attention to detail and is safety minded.
