    STAMFORD HEALTH IS SEEKING A FULL-TIME TEMPORARY PHARMACY TECHNICIAN to join our team! The PHARMACY TECHNICIAN performs a variety of technical, clerical, inventory and delivery tasks to support the Department of Pharmacy in provision of pharmacy services with an emphasis on accuracy and patient safety.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Fills and exchanges patient specific unit-dose medication fills.
    • Prepares and fills all floor stock including code trays and kits.
    • Performs billing/charging duties as required.
    • Orders drugs and other supplies as needed and restocks shelves.
    • Performs nursing unit inspection, according to departmental policy.
    • Fills Pyxis from Talyst and CII safe including controlled inventory control.
    • Packages product using Talyst packager.
    • Keeps work area clean and orderly.

    TEMPORARY FULL-TIME, 37.5 HOURS

    Required Skills Required Experience

    • High school graduate or equivalent.
    • Pharmacy technician state registration (CT license) required.
    • National pharmacy technician certification (CPhT) preferred upon hire but allowed up to 1 year post hire to obtain certification for continued employment.
