THE OPPORTUNITY

Sonepar USA is currently seeking a Web Designer for our User Experience & Digital Marketing team. The Web Designer creates solutions including design, front-end development, and content management for our digital channels including website content (mobile and desktop), e-commerce websites, and e-mail communications.

The primary role is to be a creative leader and contributor in our Design team to ensure all web and email content is consistent with our corporate brand and style. This position will work with internal and external marketing teams, and with other designers, to create and produce a variety of graphic designs. Ensuring deadlines are met and corporate and professional quality standards are followed is a necessity.

POSITION MUST BE LOCATED IN CHARLESTON, SC.  RELOCATION ASSISTANCE NOT PROVIDED AT THIS TIME.

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

TRANSACTIONAL

• Design and execute a variety of digital graphic designs, including, but not limited to:
• Landing pages, website banners, responsive promotional pages
• Digital marketing campaign graphics
• Ideation, wireframes and prototypes for site concepts
• Sales and marketing digital collateral materials

ANALYTICAL

• Achieve service excellence, meet and exceed organizational objectives
• Collaborate with departments and external stakeholders to generate internal and customer-facing sales and marketing materials

SUPPORT

• Organize and maintain digital image library and artwork files in our system
• Educate team members on industry standards and best practices for site design and user experience

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor of the Arts degree in Graphic Arts & Multimedia or equivalent experience
• 2+ years relevant experience in web and graphic design
• Thorough knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator
• Ability to hand-code HTML and intermediate CSS
• JavaScript experience highly desired
• Responsive and mobile design experience
• Experience with content management systems
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment is essential
• Self-motivated to stay informed and up-to-date on current/future digital trends
• Proven ability to excel in a deadline-intensive environment
• Excellent office and communication skills
