  • Responsibilities

    POSITION SUMMARY:

    This position is the front-line manager for the Assembly & Manufacturing team. The production manager is directly responsible for supervising, supporting, coordinating and managing the work of the Production team to effectively and efficiently increase production in support of customer orders, which also includes approval of timecards, participating in hiring processes, training, coaching, counseling and terminating employees.

     

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Forecast scheduling requirements needed on the production floor to achieve our production targets
    • Provide the most efficient and effective utilization of available sources for production needs; personnel, tools, etc.
    • Minimize and reduce the cost on projects & personnel with analysis on a periodic basis with corrective and preventive action
    • Manage daily production; delegating assignments to leads and their areas
    • Implementation of process’s that will improve the flow of material
    • Ensure and manage the proper communications between the MFG department and other departments and customers.
    • Daily promotion of a Safety culture in the manufacturing department
    • Build team spirit and moral by motivation and personnel involvement
    • Work closely with the quality team to develop and tune processes
    • Attend to and support personnel needs as required
    • Other duties and/or projects as assigned

     

      QUALIFICATIONS:

      EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: 

    • Electrical, Industrial and/or distribution experience required
    • Bachelor's degree (B.A or B.S.) from a 4-year college or University; or
    • 3+ years of Operations and Management experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • 3+ years of advanced ECLIPSE experience
    • Forklift certified- internal
    • Working experience and knowledge of OSHA safety standard regulations – production areas

    • Must have Advanced Math skills
    • Must have knowledge and use of small hand tools
    • Must have knowledge and use of power tools
    • Must have knowledge of using pallet jack

    • Must demonstrate good time management skills
    • Must possess strong planning, organizational and execution skills
    • Must have the ability to set goals and meet deadlines
    • Must possess excellent customer service skills
    • Must demonstrate ownership of assigned responsibilities and ability to get the job done correctly and in a timely manner
    • Must possess a proactive and positive team approach to problem resolution
    • Must have the ability to establish strong working relationships with management
    • Must have the ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
