    POSITION OVERVIEW

    The Asset Planner II reports to the Sales & Operations Manager and has primary responsibility for overseeing the Business Demand requirements process. This is a hands-on position responsible for developing and executing a Demand and S&OP process plan proposal that will enable to meet sales requirements.  Collaboration with other members of the supply chain, operations, sales, marketing, and customer support teams is needed to achieve this role.

     

    PRIMARY DUTIES

    This individual will be involved in a variety of functions mainly in demand planning and S&OP processes, supporting company’s Supply Planning and Sales Department in projecting future demand and correcting variations in sales vs. forecasted. Eventually visit to Customers with respective Sales Representative should be required. This function will mainly execute the following tasks:

    • Designing and generating monthly forecast process and reports.
    • Develop demand forecasts (operational forecasts) at multiple levels of aggregation for multiple time horizons as part of a demand planning function.
    • Continuously improving forecasting techniques, method, and approach.
    • Relating and measuring the impact of forecast accuracy.
    • Evolving and maintaining documentation and standard operating procedures for demand planning processes and systems.
    • Conduct current and future forecasting analysis, insuring forecasting processes and methods are followed.
    • Assemble and analyze all data pertinent to creating the sales forecast (historical sales, market trends, seasonality and promotions.
    • Establish and utilize best methods (statistical models and software tools) in creating forecasts and respective inventory targets.
    • Make recommended adjustments to forecast and inventory targets based on changes in demand and market trends.
    • Facilitating demand planning and S&OP meetings supporting the LA Supply Chain Manager (emphasis on last month´s main variations and future projections, new product introduction, BO and demand seasons).
    • Monitor main demand forecast KPI´s – (forecast accuracy, MAPE and BIAS).
    • Monitor SKU levels and work with supply planners to recommend SKU rationalization initiatives.

     

    EMPLOYEES SUPERVISED

    • This employee will supervise a trainee or junior analyst.

     

    PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT

    • Office Work, with availability to Travel.

    Required Skills

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

    • Data base management knowledge and PC skills (Advanced MsExcel User).
    • Deep knowledge on the Forecast Pro use and algorithm logic is required.
    • Logistics graduate or related with experience in manufacturing processes and environment.
    • APICS certified is a plus.
    • Bilingual (Spanish / English) Excellent written and verbal abilities.
    • Lean Six Sigma certification is a plus.
    • Good communication and Team building skills.
    • Detail oriented.
    • Strong analytical abilities.
    • Strong knowledge of demand planning process within any retail /consumer packaged goods with high complexity.
    • Knowledge of demand management/forecasting tools, forecasting processes in sales & marketing operations.
    • Extensive spreadsheet analysis and strong mathematical abilities.
    • Knowledge of S&OP processes.

    Required Experience

    EXPERIENCE

    • 10+ years related experience.
    • Experience in planning, demand, statistical and S&OP processes.
    • In-depth experience in related supply chain positions.
    • Experience using Massive Information Tool/Analysis.
    • Experience in managing end of life cycle.
  • Qualifications
