The primary responsibility of this position is to maintain a safe and secure environment for MPW employees and customers.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Be on time with equipment and guardhouse set up and ready by 0630.
2. Maintain traffic flow at gate: * Guests and visitors Identified and directed to the right location for their needs * Outbound MPW equipment logged out * Ensure use of employee key cards when entering and exiting the campus * Guests and visitors exiting safely and promptly * Maintain gate activity log for deliveries in and out
3. Patrol campus, watching for safety and/or criminal activities
4. Respond to all medical or criminal emergencies.
5. End of watch secure guardhouse and equipment.
6. Performs other duties as directed.

Required Experience

1. High School Diploma or equivalent.
2. Prefer a good working knowledge of security operations, safety practices in a business environment and enforcement procedures and polices.
3. Must be at least 21 years of age.
4. Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently is a must.
5. Candidate should posess basic computer skills.
6. Current and valid driver’s license.
7. Professional oral and written interpersonal communication.
8. Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
9. Individually motivated.

• Desire to work in a fast-paced, organized and positive warehouse environment.
• Ability to stand and move throughout the warehouse in various temperatures.
• Ability to frequently lift, push, and slide packages that typically weigh up to 50 lbs
• Ability to work full-time, 40 hours per week.
• Attention to detail and good time management skills.
