    JOB SUMMARY

    The Business Analyst will both support reporting requirements for the business and lead the analysis of complex issues and ongoing performance of key business processes and departments. You will drive strategic and commercial analysis of relevant data and provide thoughtful insights to facilitate more informed, data driven decision making by business stakeholders.

     

    You are also responsible for understanding the strategic nature of all projects. This is best accomplished through active discussions across the organization and by being curious enough to ask questions of both people and data.  The ultimate goal for this position is to develop initiatives that translate insights into value for Irby.  This position may function in a remote-work environment. 

     

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Work with senior leadership to determine operational objectives by studying business functions, gathering metrics and information, and evaluating output requirements and formats.
    • Collect and organize various datapoints related to sales, pricing, and marketing performance within specific business units as well as broader dimensions of the organization.
    • Analyze and publish extensive data-driven and associated reports regarding sales and market trends, summarizing information relating to historical demand and performance for key customers, vendors, and internal teams.
    • Work with internal business units to develop technical, effective, and actionable reporting that highlights relevant business trends and opportunities for improvement.
    • Perform database queries and configure data into an Excel or PowerBI format which Management can use to review various departments’ performance.
    • Perform opportunity analysis of future business projects.
    • Analyze ongoing business requirements across projects and business units.
    • Support the development and execution of customer and internal training materials and programs.
    • Perform and coordinate market research, market assessments, and determine the technical, economic, and market potential for Irby sales programs.
    • Conduct insightful, ad hoc analyses to investigate ongoing or one-time operational issues.

     

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

    • A curious nature that loves using data to expose useful information and the ability to translate data into relatable, understandable formats for all stakeholders.
    • One year of Data Warehousing and Business Analysis experience using tools including Data Analysis, Report Writing and/or Development experience.
    • Advanced knowledge of SQL.
    • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Azure, PowerBI, and Snowflake.
    • Advanced skill utilizing Microsoft Office including SharePoint and Teams.

     

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

    • Experience using Python and R.
    • Proficiency in the Eclipse ERP system.
    • Three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
