UX DESIGNER

SonoSim is seeking a creative problem solver with a passion for optimizing the user experience to guide key initiatives around designing the future of the SonoSim member experience. This team member will work directly with the product team and collaborate closely with all departments on multiple products to provide a seamless, intuitive experience for all of our users. The ideal candidate is driven by a passion for advocating for end users of technology and be able to demonstrate strong creativity with attention to detail, and be motivated by working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design experiences that drive user engagement and improve outcomes for SonoSim members and their future patients
- Conduct user research and usability tests, and explain results to relevant stakeholders
- Create wireframes, mock-ups, prototypes, and detailed visual design
- Rapidly iterate through design solutions
- Support and validate your designs through analysis of quantitative and qualitative data
- Empathize with user needs and advocate for the optimal user experience, following user-centric design principles
- Collaborate cross-functionally to develop user personas and usage scenarios
- Demonstrate an eye for content organization and access point optimization
- Generate UX guidelines for both new and existing products
- Participate in a culture of continued learning, staying current with trends in UX and design
KEY QUALIFICATIONS
- 2-5 years working with software and/or web development teams to shape the user experience in a consumer product environment (SaaS or education-software experience preferred)
- Expert in user-centered design and user-driven development best practices
- Experience building mock-ups and prototypes in any modern design tool (e.g., Figma, InVision)
- Understanding of responsive design, cross-platform, and cross-browser compatibility
- Demonstrated ability to think critically, apply reasoning, troubleshoot and creatively problem solve
- Experience in mapping a content heavy application and architecting large amounts of information for easy and intuitive access
- Comfortable working in an Agile workplace where the landscape is continuously evolving
- Desire to continue learning, promote open communication, and work effectively with minimal supervision

COMPENSATION
SonoSim provides work with a purpose in a collaborative environment, as well as competitive salary and benefits:

EDUCATION
- BA or BS, with a concentration in Human-Computer Interaction, Interactive Design, related area, or equivalent work experience
WORK ARRANGEMENT
- Willingness and ability to work in the Santa Monica office 3-5 days per week.
