    At Sony Interactive Entertainment PlayStation, we are obsessed with providing customers a seamless experience in our platform both inside and outside the game. We have recently launched PlayStation Direct, an online store where PlayStation fans can purchase consoles, accessories, games and more, directly from PlayStation. As we continue to build and expand this new commerce platform for physical goods, we are looking for a Manager, Software Quality Engineering to join the team.

    As a Manager of Software Quality Engineering, you will:

    • Define, promote and implement the strategic direction of test automation and an overall approach to testing for the PlayStation Direct eCommerce platform.

    • Establish and drive the implementation of quality engineering best practices for test driven development, continuous build and deploy, automated testing, and improving the overall quality of the platform.

    • Identify and drive process improvements in the platform to reduce the overall defect rate and increase testing efficiency.

    • Drive testing of complex initiatives across multiple-teams and fields. Evaluate gaps in Testing and drive solutions to high quality automation to increase Test coverage.

    • Create repeatable methods to assess, measure and communicate the overall quality of a project and deliver key metrics to assess the overall effectiveness of the quality engineering team.

    • Communicate on testing strategy, technical subjects related to testing frameworks, and collaborates effectively with the globally distributed teams to achieve the business goals.

    • Work in an agile and highly collaborative environment with our globally distributed engineering teams, architecture, product, program, and operations.

    • Amplify the talents of the current team and attract, hire, and retain outstanding talent!

      • Bachelor's Degree in computer science or related field, or ability to demonstrate equivalent knowledge.
      • 3+ years managing a team of software engineers.
      • 7 or more years of experience as a software engineer and 3 or more years of experience in UI, API and E2E test planning, test case design and automation for both web and non-web applications.
      • Experience with build automation and continuous integration tools; Jenkins, Maven, Chef or Puppet.
      • Experience with Behavior-Driven Development; Cucumber or Gherkin.
      • Experience with commerce and payment solutions.
      • Strong analytical skills and a sense of ownership.
      • Highly effective written and verbal communication skills.
