ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Classify used garments according with a grade description using Proper use of sorting methods and techniques
Other related duties as assigned.
Work at a station where there is some turning, tossing and some bending.
The average weight of a garment is 1 lbs. Or less.
This is a stand up position job, working up to 10 hours at times.
Quality jobs require good vision.
Walk to and from your workstation
Squatting and Bending down
Sweep with a broom in 5 minute intervals
Use of safety equipment assigned per work station
Airborne lint is moderate. Dust masks and safety glasses are furnished upon request and required in some positions.
Some areas require ascending/descending stairs to reach/leave work area.
Workstations are well lit and ventilated for air or heat circulation
Identify vintage clothing brands, tags, fabrics, and trends and continuously develop knowledge and understanding of the characteristics that define vintage items.
Toss garments into containers based on Grade Descriptions.
Sort quantities required by production standards for the area. A minimum acceptable production and quality level is expected.
