Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Assistant Manager to join our team! As the Assistant Manager, you will be responsible for assisting the General Manager with operational performance and financial well-being for a number of bar/restaurant locations. You will support hiring, training, and leading staff, ensuring they reflect the bar/restaurant’s high standards. The ideal candidate is a strong leader with experience managing a successful restaurant or retail establishment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop short and long-term goals and KPIs for the bar/restaurant
Hire, train, and manage employees and conduct periodic performance reviews
Lead team in providing exceptional customer service
Create and maintain a food and beverage budget
Adhere to all health and safety rules and regulations
Provide sales and productivity reports to upper management
Develop and coordinate marketing efforts and community events
Ability to work irregular hours, nights, weekends and holidays, if needed
Assist the General Manager in protecting and securing all company assets
Able to perform all opening and closing procedures in the absence of the General Manager if needed
Maintain all areas of the store, including the stockroom and floor, to company standards
Qualifications:
High school diploma/GED
Previous bar/restaurant management experience
Minimum of 1 year familiarity with Microsoft Office, restaurant management software, and POS software
Ability to remain calm and thrive under pressure
Excellent management and leadership skills
Strong communication and problem-solving skills, basic math and reading/computer skills
