    The Manager, Instructor Talent plays a key leadership role in managing the success and development of Instructor Talent on their roster at SoulCycle. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and advocating for instructor needs, as it pertains to career growth and development as well as recommending Instructors for exposure and developmental initiatives & opportunities.

    This role will be based in NYC or an East Coast based market with SoulCycle studio presence and should have in-person visibility to instructor populations within that market. This position reports to the Sr. Manager, Talent Management.

    ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Advocate for SoulCycle instructors internally to represent instructor interests, as it pertains to career growth and trajectory
    • Serve as the main point of contact and primary source of information for instructors
    • Manage instructor development plans and review processes with the respective People Business Partner as well as the Training and Development Team by delivering ongoing and balanced feedback to instructors and resource sharing in order to provide class quality assurance.
    • Hold office hours for instructors to reserve time for 1:1 conversations, development and feedback
    • Partnering with the Scheduling, Strategy and Optimization (SSO) as well as Regional District Managers team on casting to optimize rider and brand experience in order to drive business revenue through scheduling strategies and tactics
    • Visit studios/instructors regularly (at least 2-3 days a week, ride with everyone in your roster regularly)
    • Oversee instructor opportunities, i.e. involvement with retail, marketing, partnerships and other content creation. Partner with Talent Operation Manager to ensure instructor population is receiving real time communication and updates surrounding his/her/their employment and business contribution
    • Support on misc administrative tasks such as: Instructor Statistics & Analytics, On-Boarding/Off boarding/Transfer/Relocations & Time Management
    • Facilitate communication should an issue need to be escalated or addressed with anyone more directly tied to each department
    • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Minimum of 2 professional years of experience working in Casting and/or Talent in the Entertainment and/or Fitness industry.
    • Strong coordination with curating and managing multiple schedules at one time
    • Must have a positive, can-do attitude with the ability to handle a high volume of email and phone calls
    • Excellent communicator (written and verbal) and multitasker
    • Organized and strong attention to detail
    • Must have the ability to execute quickly and effectively
    • Must be able to work a flexible schedule and non-traditional hours; including extensive travel and field work
    • Self-starter
    • Team player & strong individual contributor
    • Perform with the highest level of confidentiality

    Pay Transparency: $65,000 - $75,000.
