ORGANIZATION OVERVIEW:

Sound Community Services, Inc. is a private, not-for-profit organization dedicated to educating, assisting, and supporting individuals with persistent mental illness and substance use disorders. We work tirelessly to create a culture and environment in which recovery and wellness are possible.

DUTIES:

Provide individual and group therapy in a community-based outpatient clinic. Using CareLogic software, the Social Worker will document all clinical services provided in accordance with DMHAS and SCSI expectations. Social Worker is expected to manage case load assigned, including all documentation, in a timely manner. Social Worker will also attend team meetings, clinical supervisions, trainings, etc.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Masters level candidate with active Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) license, and actively pursuing licensure for Social Worker required; Experience providing assessments, individual and group therapy, discharge planning, and referral services to adults with severe mental illness, substance abuse and co-occurring disorders; CPR/First Aid Certified or eligible. Substance abuse and co-occurring disorders experience preferred; bi-lingual English/Spanish preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls, and climb stairs. The employee frequently is required to walk, talk and/or hear; Speaking and hearing ability sufficient to communicate effectively by phone or in person at normal volumes; Vision adequate to read correspondence, computer screen, forms, etc. The employee is occasionally required to stand and climb or balance. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this position include the ability to adjust focus.

HOURS:

Monday – Friday; 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM

SALARY:

$25 per hour
