Job Summary
The Accounting Assistant is responsible for supporting basic accounting and administrative functions.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Reconcile payable invoices, vendor statements, monthly bank statements
Perform general administrative duties including copies, filing, and scanning
Data entry of invoices and other accounting information for payment or collection
Send collection letters, past due notices and perform follow-up calls
Prepare weekly accounts receivable and payables reports for CFO
Track progress payments and returns with Vendors
Keep office tidy, clean and sanitized for client/vendor meetings and office team members
Other applicable duties as assigned
Required Skills, Education, and Experience:
High School Diploma or GED required
Knowledge of basic accounting principles is a plus
Minimum 1 year experience with QuickBooks
Demonstrated strong customer service skills
Computer skills including MS Office, with the ability to adapt to new software or online programs
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work in a team environment
Clear attention to detail and ability to multi-task
Adaptable to change and meets varied deadlines
Strong work ethic and reliability
Ability to maintain confidentiality
Possesses a pleasant and professional demeanor
Construction/AV background a plus
Work Environment and Physical Requirements:
Office/Reception area
Ability to sit for extended periods of time
Requires performance of repetitive and detail oriented tasks
May occasionally lift objects over 25 pounds
Requires adherence to a set schedule
