ADULT PSYCHIATRIST WITH ADDICTION INTEREST FOR INPATIENT UNIT Los Angeles County, CA – Beautiful Southern California

A SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA health organization is seeking a BC/BE PSYCHIATRIST for a full-time, PERMANENT, and EMPLOYED position. Partner with an integrated health system that strives to PROVIDE QUALITY HEALTH CARE in a SAFE, COMPASSIONATE ENVIRONMENT. This is a progressive medical group and they’re building an in-house Psychiatry team.

• Help DEVELOP A GEROPSYCHATRIC UNIT & WORK WITH health system’s ED LEADERSHIP to improve patient flow for those requiring psychiatric care.
• Oversee psychiatric care for an ADULT INPATIENT (30-BED) BEHAVIORAL HEALTH UNIT.
• Devote some time to seeing discharged patients in hospital-based practice; allowing you to provide CONTINUITY OF CARE.
• Schedule is Mon-Fri with call (phone only).

This is an LPS SITE (The Lanterman-Petris-Short Act), so you’ll see a fair number of patients on a 5150 HOLD. Any candidates with experience in a community with dual diagnosis of addiction/psych are encouraged to apply. Qualifications

The following requirements are not all-inclusive: 

• MUST have a MEDICAL DEGREE / DOCTOR OF OSTEOPATHIC MEDICINE (or US equivalent). 
• MUST have completed an accredited U.S. residency program. 
• NO visa Support. 
• Candidates must have the ability to obtain a CA license.
• Practicing physicians and new graduates are all welcome to apply.
