Source One is a staffing services company and we are currently looking for the following individual to work as a permanent employee of our direct client, an established investment management firm in midtown NYC.
Job Title: Cloud Developer
Base Salary: Up to 175K
Summary: The Enterprise Data group is focused on building a robust data platform which services a diverse set of investment teams and internal clients. The group consists of data sourcing experts, data specialists, data scientists and data engineers, who are responsible for the discovery, management, and curation of thousands of alpha sources for the firm and our investment professionals.
Responsibilities:
- Be part of large-scale platform implementation, leveraging latest AWS serverless and big data technologies
- Collaborate with larger engineering and public cloud teams on design and development
- Design, document, code, test and deliver data platform software capabilities on AWS cloud
- Communicate with stakeholders on project deliverables
Qualifications:
- Master’s in computer science, Engineering or related field
- Advanced knowledge of database concepts, including OLTP, OLAP, SQL, noSQL
- Understanding of distributed computing theory and distributed application architecture
- Experience developing using Java, Python is a plus
- Understanding of object-oriented programming concepts and best practices, including writing unit-testable code
- Experience in developing containerized applications
- Hands-on experience with AWS native data and compute technologies (S3, Lambda, Glue, DataSync, EMR, Athena, Lake Formation, Kinesis, etc.) is a plus
