We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Sourcing Leader, leading our non-clinical Professional Service categories.

Position Summary:

In this role, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Strategic Sourcing Leader specializing in non-clinical Professional Services to join NYU Langone Health. As a key member of the Corporate Services Strategic Sourcing team, you will play a critical role in developing and executing strategic sourcing initiatives for non-clinical departments.

Job Responsibilities:

• Strategic Sourcing Planning:
  • Develop and implement comprehensive strategic sourcing plans for professional services including, but not limited to, Human Resources, Marketing, and Finance categories, aligning with overall organizational goals.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to understand current and future goals and service needs for your professional service categories.
• Supplier Relationship Management:
  • Identify, evaluate, and manage relationships with key categories of service providers and suppliers.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and collaborate with suppliers to optimize service delivery and cost-effectiveness.
• Negotiation and Contract Management:
  • Lead negotiations with key service suppliers and for various professional services to secure favorable terms, pricing, and contractual agreements.
  • Draft, review, and manage contracts, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
• Market Analysis:
  • Stay informed about industry trends, market dynamics, and emerging professional services technologies.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify potential suppliers and assess their capabilities.
• Cost Management:
  • Work closely with Finance and other relevant departments to manage and optimize costs related to your professional service categories across the health system.
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements to reach Departmental and health system goals.
• Risk Management:
  • Assess and mitigate risks associated with your professional service categories by sourcing, ensuring business continuity and compliance with regulations.
  • Implement contingency plans to address potential disruptions in service delivery.
• Collaboration and Communication:
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including, but not limited to, Human Resources, Finance, Office of General Counsel, Insurance, Compliance and IT, to ensure alignment on sourcing strategies and objectives.
  • Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and department end users to provide updates on sourcing initiatives and performance.

Minimum Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field

· Minimum of three (3) years strategic sourcing responsibilities for various commodities both products and services within and outside healthcare organizations

· Work experience in operational, procurement, sourcing

· High degree of proficiency in Microsoft Excel

· Knowledge of procurement/sourcing process

Preferred Qualifications:

· Master’s degree preferred

· Strong negotiation, contract management, and supplier relationship management skills

· In-depth knowledge of HR and benefits services from a contractual standpoint, industry trends, and best practices

· Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills

· Effective communication and interpersonal skills

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $97,589.95 - $116,600.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
