    Position Overview

    AKIVA is seeking a Sourcing Specialist to build and maintain a proactive pipeline of qualified local talent ready for deployment into client temporary assignments. Working in lockstep with the Recruiters, this role focuses on passive candidate outreach, community engagement, and diversity sourcing so AKIVA can consistently meet aggressive response and placement service levels across a wide range of job classifications. AKIVA equips this role with AI-powered sourcing copilots that accelerate Boolean development, messaging, and pipeline segmentation.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Develop and execute sourcing strategies for the full range of client job classifications, including administrative, technical, engineering, public works, recreation, maintenance, and other role families

    • Build candidate pipelines through LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed, ZipRecruiter, GovernmentJobs.com, Boolean searches, alumni networks, local job fairs, and community partnerships

    • Cultivate relationships with local workforce development boards, Veterans' organizations, community colleges, and diversity affinity groups

    • Maintain a warm bench of pre-screened and pre-vetted candidates segmented by classification family to enable rapid deployment when client requests arrive

    • Conduct initial outreach and opening conversations, and hand off interested and qualified candidates to Recruiters for formal screening

    • Track sourcing channel effectiveness, time-to-source, and conversion metrics, and report weekly to the Account Manager

    • Support diversity, equity, and inclusion goals through intentional sourcing practices

    • Maintain ATS hygiene, candidate tagging, and pipeline health consistent with AKIVA standards

    Required Qualifications

    • 3 to 5 years of talent sourcing or full-cycle recruiting experience, with at least one year in high-volume staffing, government, or public-sector recruiting

    • Demonstrated expertise with sourcing tools (LinkedIn Recruiter, SeekOut, hireEZ, Boolean search)

    • Strong candidate engagement and relationship-building skills across diverse audiences

    • Data-oriented approach and comfort with sourcing dashboards and weekly reporting

    • Experience supporting DEI sourcing strategies and compliant outreach

    • Familiarity with applicant tracking systems and candidate pipeline management

    • Must be authorized to work in the United States

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Familiarity with California public-sector job classifications and pay bands

    • Bachelor's degree

    • AIRS CIR, CDR, or LinkedIn Certified Professional - Recruiter credential

    • Prior experience with AI-assisted sourcing workflows and prompt-engineered outreach

    • Bilingual ability (Spanish, Tagalog, Vietnamese, or Korean)
