The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced full-time Sous Chef to join our opening leadership team in Nantucket.
This role is ideal for a focused, committed culinary professional who takes initiative, leads by example, and thrives in a collaborative kitchen environment. You’ll have the opportunity to help shape the kitchen culture, support menu execution, and deliver consistently high-quality food for our guests.

What You’ll Do
As Sous Chef, you will support daily kitchen operations and lead the team alongside ownership and senior leadership. Responsibilities include:
Supporting menu execution and food quality standards
Leading and motivating a team of approximately 5–10 employees
Ordering, receiving, and managing inventory
Training and educating staff on systems, standards, and recipes
Supporting food safety and sanitation compliance
Following written recipes and instructions consistently
Assisting with menu development and execution
Working efficiently in a standing position during service
Maintaining composure and leadership presence during busy service
What We’re Looking For
Experience & Skills
2+ years of kitchen leadership experience in an upscale casual restaurant
Experience managing staff training, scheduling, and motivation
Strong understanding of inventory, ordering, and receiving
Food safety knowledge (certification preferred)
Ability to execute written recipes and systems consistently
Experience contributing to menu creation a plus
